I never guessed when I started my day out that I would stumble upon grazing sheep on a dirt road in Colorado heading home from a hike! As I read the sign at the trailhead, it warned of possible sheep grazing and to keep your dog close just in case. Well, I completed the hike and never saw any sheep. I was a little disappointed, but not surprised by any means. Low and behold I’m on the way back to town and bam there are the sheep! This time I was surprised and quite happy actually. I really enjoyed listening to the baahing and seeing the cute sheep among the aspen and wildflowers. I couldn’t pass up a photo opp of these cute faces! Have you ever seen a herd – cows or sheep – on a trail or back road in Colorado and been surprised?
