I had just arrived at the sunflower fields the other night east of Denver and I had a guy stop in a big truck. He pulled up behind my car which I was standing beside getting out a tripod and such. I was so worried. To my surprise and delight he told me to go out in the fields and enjoy! Sunflowers make people happy and I won’t hurt the flowers. No joke! He was a friend of the owner of the land and he said he didn’t mind. What a nice guy!
Keep in mind these fields are private property and a farmer’s livelihood. I had no intention of harming them, but it sure was a nice surprise to see a friendly face. The field did not disappoint and I enjoyed the sunset. Sunflowers always seem so cheerful. Must be that beautiful yellow color; a colorful sunset never hurts either.
