With the most recent full moon I decided to brave the cold and head out in the early morning hours for a sunrise shoot. I knew the moon would be setting over the beautiful Rocky Mountains just as the sun was rising. It was only 6 degrees outside, but I think it was worth the cold. I got out there early enough to catch this beautiful purple and pink haze that glowed as the sun got higher. I was really taken aback at the beauty and peacefulness on this cold December morning. I was in awe as the sun hit the snowy peaks in the background and turned them bright pink! I think I was actually so in awe that I didn’t snap too many photos during that brief period. There is one below that shows the back mountains slightly pink. I was also trying to keep my poor fingers warm. Even with gloves on they were cold. Standing still in such frigid temperatures makes it hard to keep warm in general. I eventually wrapped a scarf around my left hand which I wasn’t using the take the photos and managed to keep it warmer that way. The last shot I captured with the full sun and the moon just peaking out from behind the mountains. Such a cold morning, but very worth it.
