Temps Plunge in Colorado

Temps Plunge in Colorado

As the temperatures plunged today in my home state of Colorado, all I was reminded of is the harshness of winter.  You think it’s cold outside, but you get to be inside where it’s warm and cozy.  You get to use blankets and have hot tea and soup.  Now imagine if you had to live outside full-time enduring everything from the coldest to the hottest temperatures, the snow, rain, ice, extreme sunshine, etc.  Could you survive?  Animals sure do amaze me at how well they adapt to the environment; growing an extra thick coat for winter and then shedding it in spring for a lighter summer coat.  Winter is dark and food can be scarce.  So what do you feel from this photo of the bison enduring the snow and cold?
