Had a great time once again with the mountain goats on Mt. Evans. It was a beautiful day – not too hard nor too cold even at 14,000ft. Different herds of goats were out in different areas. We started early early in the morning as in for sunrise which is at 6am. Some of the goats had a few kids around which made it fun to capture. I also enjoyed the beautiful white coats on some of the adults. Just beautiful and they look so soft. Too bad I can’t touch them, but they are wild animals and I’m not even going to try. There were a few ignorant people out on the mountain today. One father was encouraging his kids to cuddle with the goats for a photo with his cell phone. Definitely not the smartest thing to do. The mountain goat caught on quickly to his shenanigans and ran away. Unfortunately, the people didn’t listen and chased the goat up the rocks. Ugh. So sad that people antagonize the wildlife like that!
