So many photographers have that iconic image with the orange glow of sunset or sunrise and the cranes in flight. I totally struggled with that image during sunrise or sunset. I did, however, find this beautiful image with the 3 cranes and the mountains during the daylight with blue skies. I think I was so overwhelmed with the amazing sight of the take off at sunrise that I couldn’t concentrate on a photograph. First things first is to enjoy nature and its awesomeness, right?!?! Second, comes the focus needed for a great photograph. Plus, it gave me a better understanding of the behavior and the initial awe of the takeoff is behind me. I’m now a seasoned pro – ha ha. In any case, I still really love this photograph and all that it reminds me of taking place at Bosque del Apache during my time there. The beautiful cranes, the mountains and the noises created by the squawking birds overhead. It was an often season and heard sight! I also like that the 3 birds have their wings in different positions. Anyone else has experienced the amazing bird take-off at Bosque del Apache??
