It’s been a fun fall finding and watching the bighorn sheep in Colorado. There has been some great action and I have learned more about the rut. The first thing is to be able to find the herd! Not always an easy task even when I have an idea of where they like to hang out. Next up is having the patience to watch them for hours. You could be there for hours without seeing any fun action. Then the rams get feisty and you better have your camera ready for the action. Other times you might get lucky and show up just as the rams get active. It’s a hit or miss, but still tons of fun.
This year was pretty great because we got some snow. It made for different background. I find the snow also makes the brown sheep stand out a little more. I loved the little lamb I found in the snow. So small and so sweet.
