What a beautiful time of year here in Colorado! The fields are full of crops. My favorite fields are the sunflowers! They are in bloom right now all over Eastern Colorado. All you need to do is drive a country road to find them. The fields are huge – as far as the eye can see. I took an evening drive through the country roads to find fields and these are my results. If you really want to know where there are some great ones, drive to the east of Denver International Airport. You need to take the back dirt roads and you will find them. They move from year to year as farmers’ rotate their crops, so keep your eye out. Better yet, take a friend as a passenger to keep a better eye on the fields. It’s not an easy task to drive and search at the same time. There are deer, cars and the road that need to be watched as the driver. Most of all, have fun searching for these wonderful fields of sunflowers!
