Had a lovely time enjoying wine country of central California. The locals call is SLO county and I’d agree with that assessment. It’s best to take the place SLOwly. Relaxed afternoons sipping wine and enjoying a picnic in the beautiful hills of wine country among the vineyards. There are gorgeous views to be taken in along with delicious wines to be tasted. Many of the vineyards have their vines fenced off to the public. However, if you get off the beaten path and into the back hills, you might find yourself in luck. That’s what I did. The colors of the grapes contrasted beautiful with the foliage. I loved everything about wine county. If wine isn’t your thing, don’t fret. There are other tastings to be had and the views are worth the drive regardless of whether you stop for wine. There is great olive oil to be tasted as well as walnuts! Take a drive, enjoy the view, have a picnic and relax.
