Spring is here and everything is coming to life. Don’t miss out on all the flowers blooming at the Denver Botanic Gardens! The colors and variety are very overwhelming. Not to mention the wonderful smells from the blossoms. The bees are buzzing and the butterflies flying, so now is the time to get out and visit the Denver Botanic Gardens. Thankfully, my day started early in the gardens and I was able to capture some of the dew still on the flowers. The sun was out and thetemperature perfect for a comfortable day strolling through the many paths. There is a whole area full of tulips, my favorite flower! Other blossoms right now include iris (all varieties), peonies, poppies, lilacs, columbines, Japanese roses, cacti, purple sensation and many many more! There is even an indoor tropical rainforest with beautiful orchids and a waterfall. Throughout the gardens are water features, ponds, and waterfalls. See if you can find them all. Yesterday workers were in the midst of installing the next line of sculptures throughout the garden for the latest exhibit, Kizuna: West Meets East. They are made out of bamboo and coincide with the opening of the new Japanese themed garden this June. What I saw of them looked beautiful and I can’t wait to go back and see them all put together. The ones I especially enjoyed were floating structures in the small ponds throughout the gardens. What a neat idea to have them able to move around. Get out and take a stroll through the beauty. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
